Changing Your Air Filter in the Fall

One of the most important things you can do for your air conditioning system is regularly change the air filter. A dirty filter chokes the airflow and makes your AC or heater work much harder to keep you cool or warm. So there’s a reason AC companies like On Time Elmer always remind homeowners to change out their filters on a regular basis.

But what exactly is a regular basis?

It’s a good habit to check your filter once a month, every month. No matter the season, change it if it’s dirty. In the summer months, you’ll probably need to change it every month. But in the fall, which is just about arrived in San Antonio, you can probably go two months between air filter changes.
